The whites

Bianco Di Sicilia - Settesoli - £3.25/ £4.30/ £12.95

Light & fruity in character, wonderfully dry & crisp, good example of a simple Italian white

Tre Cupole Grillo - Foraci - £14.50

About as close to being a Sauvignon Blanc as Italy has to offer without actually being a Sauvignon that is !! Full of fruity flavours, easy drinking

Soave Classico - Veneti - £15.75

Old school classic which is covered in literally years of history, this bottle has crisp lemon characters with a racy & zingy aftertaste

Pinot Grigio - Albiononi - £4.30/ £5.30/ £16.50

Easy drinking, solid & reliable Pinot, which oozes in crispness, smothness & freshness

Orvieto Classico - Barberani - £17.25

Great blend of Trebbiano & Malvasia, this wine has loads of citrus flavours and still comes with a proper cork!! nice & dry - well worth a try

Vernaccia - Passoni - £17.50

Underestimated wine of Italy, if pinot wasn't around this surely would be number one, its full bodied & intense, leaves a great almondy taste on the tongue, not quaffing wine but one to be appreciated

Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi - Schiavo - £18.25

Our favourite wine!! not because its abit more expensive but because it has the most amazing pineapple & citrus flavours, nice & dry with a real elegance, top wine

Gavi - Lancelotta - £19.50

No wine list should be missing the great Gavi, made from the cortese grapes found in the Piedmont (where all great Italian white wine comes from) very drinkable, when you have one you may peruade yourself to have another ! you have been warned

Really easy drinking rose, fresh fruits, peach, pineapple & apricot

Medium in body, solid & reliable quaffing wine, made from 100% Nero d'Avola giving a mouthfilling & rich red

We have sold bucket loads of this wine since we first introduced it several months ago, nice simple wine with cherry flavours & a smooth finish

The wine is full of fun, even the name (monty pull c arno) is fun, the flavours are fresh & fruity with black cherry & damson

Dolcetto d'Alba - Forville - £17.50

Something a little different, rich & round with liquorice allsort flavours ! loads of wintery warmth & a real feel good wine

Blast from the past but still as imprezsive ten years on, spicy red fruits, luxury with a balance & structure, Very classy wine

Made with the usual Sangiovese grapes - you get the cherry & the plum, this wine however has the added bonus of vanilla & spice to add to the pleasure

Copertino 2006 - Masseria Monaci - £22.00

What a great wine, made from 30 year old vines of the Negroamaro grape, it is full of thick, lucious & plummy fruit with a small amount of spice
